Dr. Duane A. Lundervold • CHS Class of 1974

Duane Lundervold, graduate of Cumberland High School in 1974, is a Professor of Psychological Science at the University of Central Missouri. After graduation, Duane started his studies at UW- Barron County and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In 1983, he earned his Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He attained a Doctor of Rehabilitation degree in 1995 from Southern Illinois University as well.
Dr. Lundervold is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral level. He currently has hospital privileges at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in the Department of Neuroscience.
Dr. Lundervold has previously worked as a family therapist, behavior therapist, research coordinator, adjunct professor, associate professor, and clinical counselor. Currently, he is the Coordinator of the Behavior Analysis Program at the University of Central Missouri.
Dr. Lundervold is an accomplished author who has published over 40 books, training manuals, and journal articles in a variety of areas including behavior analysis, behavioral medicine, rehabilitation, and geriatric medicine.
Duane was nominated by Ann Bergmann and will accept the award at the Cumberland High School graduation ceremony on May 20, 2017.
