Bonnie Gale Peterson, 65, of Turtle Lake died Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Shell Lake Health Care Center after a 12 year, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born July 30, 1953 in Amery to Theodore and Martha (Schwederske) Jarchow.  Bonnie graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1971, then attended WITC-Rice Lake, where she studied accounting. She was married in Barron on August 26, 1978 to James Peterson. Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Almena Co-op and later Country Pride Co-op.
Bonnie at her core was a loving wife, and a caring and supportive mother and grandmother.  Her evenings and weekends were spent encouraging her children and grandchildren in their various sports and other activities. She was an avid fan of both the Brewers and Packers. Bonnie loved to travel, taking many camping trips with Jim and their kids and later bus trips with friends. She was also active with the Susan G. Komen foundation and participating in the fundraising 60 mile walk with “The Sole Sisters”. Her patriotism was evident. Bonnie loved baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet, but most of all her family and dear friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; children: Tadd (Jodi) Peterson of Turtle Lake and Jason (Ashley) Peterson of Greenville; three grandchildren: Caleb, Brady and Megan, all of Turtle Lake; all her other family and many friends. She is survived by one brother: Wayne (Fern) Jarchow. She was preceded in death by her parents: Theodore and Martha Jarchow; three brothers: Clarence, Alan, and Donny Hagen.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM September 2, 2018  at Parkview United Methodist Church in Turtle Lake with Pastor Gil White officiating. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Caleb Peterson, Brady Peterson and Megan Peterson.
