One injured in Casino parking lot accident

On Friday, October 6, 2017, the Turtle Lake Police Department was notified of a car versus pedestrian accident in the St. Croix Casino parking lot. Dispatch advised the victim was still under the car. When the officer arrived the victim had been pulled from under the car. The accident happened in the valet drop off area of the parking lot.
The victim was 72-year-od Shirley Juarez of Turtle Lake. She was airlifted from the scene to the hospital in Eau Claire with serious injuries.
The vehicle, which struck the woman was a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage, which was drive by 87-year-old William Anderson of Boyceville.
Assisting with the accident were Turtle Lake Fire Department, Turtle Lake First Responders, Cumberland Ambulance, Casino First Responders and Security and Life Link Helicopter.
This accident remains under investigation by the Turtle Lake Police Department.
