Wedding information
Wedding pictures and write-ups must be received within three months of the ceremony to be considered news. After that time, there will be a charge for publication. This allows ample time for pictures to be developed or sent from the photographers. Make certain the photographer knows there is a time element. After three months, it is no longer considered news.
Jerome-Van Handel
Indira Frieda Idella Jerome and Michale William Van Handel were married June 7, 2008 at First United Methodist Church in Barron with Reverands Jeff Uhler and Harry Naden officiating.
Parents of the couple are Lawerence and Shelley Jerome and Thomas and Diane Van Groll and the late William Van Handel.
Maid of Honor was Alicia Wirth of Ridgeland, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Daria Stransky of Owatonna, MN, sister of the bride, Sacia Jerome of Milwaukee, sister of the bride, Moriah Fischer of Baldwin, sister of the bride, Carrie Van Groll of Kaukauna, sister of the groom, and Stefani Van Groll of Kaukauna, sister of the groom.
Best man was Lyndon Jerome of Elk Mound, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Joseph Van Groll of Kaukauna, brother of the groom, Daniel Van Groll of Kaukauna, brother of the groom, John Zimmerman of Missouri, friend of the groom, Craig Van Handel of Kaukauna, cousin of the groom, and Jeremy Jerome of Barron, brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Marion Fischer of Baldwin, niece of the bride, Calista Jerome of Barron, niece of the bride, and Julia Wirth of Ridgeland, niece of the bride.
Ring bearer was Braden Wirth of Ridgeland, godson and nephew of the bride.
Ushers were David Van Handel of Appleton, cousin of the groom, Matt Fischer of Baldwin, brother-in-law of the bride, Barry Wirth of Ridgeland, brother-in-law of the bride, and Reid Stransky of Owatonna, MN, brother-in-law of the bride.
A reception was held at the Larry Jerome Farm following the ceremony for 650 guests.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Barron High School and a 2007 graduate of UW-River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Kaukauna High School and a 2003 graduate of UW-River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.
The couple currently lives in Cumberland and works at Jerland Farm breeding, training, and marketing Arabian horses.
